My journey has been a colorful tapestry woven through the creative realm. From fashion design to illustration, interior decor, and ceramics, I've explored diverse artistic avenues.Ceramics beckon me due to their enchanting yet demanding nature. The process of crafting ceramics, an intricate dance of materials, forms, and glazes, captivates me. Every creation is a thrilling gamble, where outcomes remain uncertain. I'm Annika Semler, born in Denmark, currently residing in vibrant Copenhagen.
Modeling stoneware clay is my passion, where the dialogue between clay and organic form unfolds. The interplay of glossy white glazes and shrink glazes yields an unpredictable symphony, driving my evolution and sparking fresh inspiration. My creative voyage takes different routes. Ideas are born from sketches or take flight from past creations, each influencing and building upon the other. The world's organic shapes, hues, and textures leave an indelible mark on my artistic expression. In 2014, I embarked on a self-employed odyssey, fully devoted to ceramics. Now, nestled in my Copenhagen workshop, I sculpt, create, and embrace the artistry that courses through my veins.
